So I have come to fund out that my lt1 in my 95 wagon is from a trans am. No biggie. But I am having some cooling issues when my ac is on and when I started the investigation I noticed that my fans are zip tied on to the upper/lower rad mounts. Also the do not cover all of the rad. They leave about 3 inches open on each end.

My guess is that these are also from a fbody. Also since they don't cover the whole rad and don't seal up to it. That they are not cooling to there max

Am I right?

Btw. I have replaced the cap, t stat and flushed. And still gets hot.

What happens when you pull the plug on the ECT sensor on the WP? Do both fans come on with-in a few seconds? Sound's like something was......rednecked.
