Are you sure the springs were indexed properly in the perches? Did you torque the control arms with the car in the air or on the ground? There are a couple of good threads floating around on this very topic.

Those aren't the right springs.

Consider it to be an expensive lesson in "trusting" the parts store guy

My 91 Caprice had the "soft ride" option. Looked bad. I ordered front & rear SS springs. It dropped it about 2 1/2 inches. Especially in the rear. Also installed 9C1 sway bars. The front SS springs were about 4 inches shorter but the coil was 90 thousands thicker. So it of cousre not only lowered it, it firmed up the ride. My parts friend that ordered them had a Caprice & he installed Ibocs on his. His car would bottom out on the stops. Mine never has. Also got Poly bushings from Manny, Moe & Jack. (Pep Boys)
I installed new Monroe gas shocks last month & it raised it about 1/2 inch. I may cut a 1/2 coil off the fronts.
