91 classic Ltz

I picked it up from my grandfather for 1000. All original with 160000 miles. Looking for some info on it. He said it has the big brakes and was ordered for a police department. It has a 305 so I'm not sure. Could have been an administrative or detectives car.

The LTZ got the suspension and brakes from the 9C1 with the fancy cosmetic trim to dress it up.

The certified digital speedometer with analog tachometer was also directly taken from the 9C1, the LTZ was the only retail Caprice to feature this. The flat hood ornament with silver bowtie and CAPRICE lettering is an LTZ only item.

The 5.7L with TBI was not added to the LTZ till 1993.

Thanks for the info. I have a pic of the trunk id paper but I'm having issues uploading it.

Sounds like a nice car! There aren't many of the early "bathtubs" left, especially LTZs, so if it's in nice shape hopefully you can keep it that way!

1996 Caprice Classic: LT1, B4U, DCM/ruby cloth; stock except for side trim removed
2009 Pontiac G8 GT: maverick silver/onyx cloth; mods: Solo Mach catback + resonators + HFCs, AEM short ram, Livernois ECM/TCM tunes
