Can any of yall help me figure out what needs to be done for the 100k service? Id just rather do it myself than pay a shop a crazy price but ive been looking online with no success as to what needs to be done
I guess my 1st questions would be.....
Are you noticing any issues with Brakes, Suspension, Steering, Operation, Etc??
What history, if any, do you have on the car?
Based on those answers, if you notice issues obviously want to get those fixed. For example, car pulls to the right OR is all over the road OR doesn't idle well Or.....etc, etc.
But for the basics and no history, I would be focusing on the Maintenance items like Fluids, Brakes, tune-up and such. At a min, FLUSH the ENTIRE cooling system. Inspect all your Brakes and do a Fluid Flush on the Brake fluid. Change the Filter and flush the trans fluid. Drain and refill the Diff. Full tune up with new Plugs and Wires and possibly new CapnRotor. Go over everything you can with a fine tooth comb. Not sure of your location or Inspection laws but consider taking it to a shop and have them get it on a lift and inspect the Steering and Suspension for you. Get details of what if anything needs to be done and do yourself or pay for the work.
Also consider what improvements can be made while doing some of these repairs. For example.... Drop the Trans pan for filter, consider getting a larger (truck) pan. If doing any suspension work, maybe consder upgrades like Poly Bushings, Lower Springs or Jeep Steering Shaft to name a few. There isquite a bit that can be done to REALLY improve these cars.
