Lower door mouldings

I need to replace a lower weatherstrip and have to remove the door bottom trim.
Will I have to pull the interior door panel to get at the nuts on that?

No, they are down below the panel area, almost at the bottom of the door. If I recall, you don't need to completely remove the trim to replace the lower strip, just loosen it enough to unhook the seal from it.

I could be wrong though, it's been a long time.

Some of the lower seals have holes that the pins holding the bottom trim go through. The seal clips over the bottom of the door. There is usually a screw on one end, a nut on the other (Phillips and/or 11mm), and three pins that go through grommets in the front, and two for the rear door. It is easier to remove the bottom trim, because you can not tell if the pins go through the seal, or are in a U channel.
