charrcoal canister

Can anyone tell me how to remove the charcoal canister in my 92 caprice? im doing a cold air intake and want to put the filter were the canister is and need help figuring out how to remove it.

The easiest way to get the charcoal canister out of the way, is to get the canister bracket from a 94-96, and mount it under the current spot. The bracket can be mounted on the frame behind the wheelhouse extension. Here is a description of how it was done on a wagon: http://gmlongroof.4umer.com/t8383-93...-air-induction

Rebuilding that canister and hoses is dirty and time consuming. Check the connections and take a picture . . . rebuilt mine a 1995 9C1/Lt1 not hard . . . just hard on the back . . review the threads and allow a good bit of time.

The OP is not interested in rebuilding the canister, just moving it to get the space for an airbox.
