Pulled the motor from the doner car today, will put the motor on the stand tomorrow and start getting it ready. Some pics of how a REAL engine pull goes:

The doner car:


How to pull the engine from a real car. Out the top, no hood removal, no radiator removal, no a/c removal. Try that on your 4.6 Mustang. The shop's Token Black Guy supervises:

Moose_9c1 utilizes delicate precision technique to reposition the engine hoist.

All tools required to pull an engine. Not pictured: sawzall and torches.

Token Black Guy supervisor reveals his foreign policy.

And so it begins...

Total time to remove: 45 minutes. More to come as the motor comes together.

nice pull! I was a tad more drastic on my pullout (i had to save the car):

converter was still ON the engine WITH flexplate (and loaded of transmission juice) engine mounts and tranny stayed in.

motor sat here at least 2 weeks

this is where it sat next for now, forever. i had fun making my own engine support [img]smile.gif[/img]

When we started fliping the motor out that end came loose first [img]smile.gif[/img] Before removal at that time I didnt want to turn the motor but I should have.. now it disassembled into unique parts and I finally saw why it was failing..
