I haven't really posted on this board before I had my spring problem, but I decided to take a couple of pics of my tub at lunch for what it's worth. It's a '93 Caprice, pretty much original, 202,000 miles. I'm not a big modder, so most of what I do is pretty mild. Anyway, here it is. Hopefully someone will want to see it.

other then lowering the back maybe another half an inch, id say that thing sits perfect. I wish mine looked that clean and good, if it did, i would buy a new motor for it. You should think about blacking out the grill too. maybe the inner part and leave the outter shell chrome. just a thought.

Thanks, guys!

I guess I could lower the back a little, but I wasn't really going for the Impala SS look per se. I had an Impala, and it was pretty cool, but I'm not copying anything here. I just wanted to give it that older-style hot rod look, and I like cars to sit a little lower in the front than the back. It isn't a radical rake. And it looks less than in the pics depending on where you park.

The pinstriping on the hood is also on the trunklid and the c-pilars. I had this guy do the striping for me. It's two colors of blue, and looks a lot better in person than in the pictures.

It also has Chevy truck rally wheels, BFG TA tires, dual exhaust, rebuilt front suspension, new radiator, new JVC stereo, new driver's seat belt, belts, hoses, etc., all within the past year. I'm positive that most people would think it was a worn out pile of junk, but it looks good and it runs good and I like it.

Of course, it's othing like what most of you guys have! There are some really nice cars on this board!

Well, you certainly got one of the best pinstripers if you got Bob Bond. I've admired his work for years.
Nice car, nice and subtle.

Your ride looks awesome orange 01 SS! Like the guys say, it's pretty clean for that much mileage. Anyways, where in K.C are you from? I'm also a proud owner of a 95 9C1 but there does not seem to be too many admirers of our great vehicles here in K.C. I hail from up north K.C, off barry rd by Metro North Mall to be exact. Drop me a line sometime man. I also own a 96 DCM SS and maybe you could help me find some places to get work done as I am fairly new to the K.C area. Talk to you later.

I'm not that far away from you, actually. I'm in Parkville!

My dad lives in Lenexa, and he also has a black '96 SS that he bought new. It still only has 12,000 miles on it.

I've been trying to do more stuff with the KC Impala SS club. They haven't done much lately, and the club is struggling, but there are a couple of guys that are trying to build it back into something. Drop me an e-mail, and I'll be sure to send it to the guy that has the e-mail list.
