get rid of the cat and/or stock muffler(exhaust pipe is cheap and so is a glasspack or turbo muffler)

remove the silencer inside the plastic filter housing that is on the throttle body

remove all the airbox except what is on the TB and holds the air filter in

when racing pull the filter and throw it in the trunk(remember to put it back in)

have the engine temp as cool as possible during the runs

that is all i can think of... i put in a much bigger radiator to keep cooler, got rid of my muffler altogether, removed the silencer, put in a high flow cone air filter, and some 245/60 ta's to improve the traction and the car is MUCH faster than it was stock.

Is that the quarter in the fuel press. reg. mod?

Some company makes a 2-bbl TBI spacer plate, saw in in Jegs catalog.

I saw a web pic of a guy who cut the whole front of the stock airbox open and had a K&N in there.

I had a `93 9C6 ex-DC CabPrice on the 99 HRM East COast Power Tour... http://www.beaconite.com/pte99pix/powertour.html

The quarter mod is a good one, you might want to join the [email protected] (I think that's it), it deals primarily with getting the most power out of 91-93 b-bodies and that mod is in there. You can cut out the front of the air box, or cut out and smooth all the "ribs" in the front of the air box. Then you would remove the thermac or flapper door from the heat stove, you can either drill out the rivets or there is a little pin that goes through the round part that the heat tube attaches to, pull that and disconnect the little spring for a similar effect. Personally, I also opened up the end of the stock ducting and cut out a piece of the seal between the radiator and the headlight (little rubber or fiber seal, you'll see it). I will probably try to do a little ram air by attaching something to the left grille bracket to channel air to the cut out and into the ducting. You could also get some dryer ducting instead of the factory stuff. Also, there's a metal ring around the throttle body that completely surrounds it and is very restrictive, cut that up. I've also got a 93 with L03 with 2.56 rear end and raced it, something like 17.3 at @77mph but that was before most of these mods. Good luck.
