I have a Impala and an 88 caprice for my daily driver. Can I put the 80/100 headlight bulbs in my caprice? Will the wiring harness handle the extra load? The headlight capsules are glass not plasitc like the impala capsules. I have the whisperjet harness in the impala and have the T-84s on order and would like to order the scorchers for the T-84s and rotate the 80/100 to my old 88 caprice. Am I asking for trouble. Thanks for he replys.
I am not qualified to talk about the harness, but I do know that bulbs from a 91-96 won't work on an 88. Also, whatever bulbs you have for your regular 91-96 headlights won't work with the T84.
T84 use an H4 bulb I believe, and regular late model B-Body are 9004? Anyway you may or may not know that you also will have to change the conectors on you wire harness to wprk with the T84 also. I hacked mine up putting my T84 on , and wish I would have just bought someones harness.
The factory part T84s came with H4 bulbs in them, and I have used them for a few years now and they work great for me.
Thanks for the info. Currently my whisperjet harness is outfitted with 9004 type connectors for the stock impala headlights I know I'll have to go to the H-4 for the T-84's. I was going to take the 9004s out of the impala and put them in the 88 caprice when I made the switch to the T-84s. I thought the 88 used 9004s like the stock impala headlights. I was just wanted to see if the 88 headlight harness and capsule could handle the 80/100 9004s that I use in the impala
