Question

What kind of an inner fender do our cars have? While workin on my 91, it felt like there were 2 layers of metal in there. Any idea on what it would take to remove the inside one and keeping the outside one looking just as it did from the factory?? I'm sure that little bit would give me all the clearance I'd want. Plus it'd pull a little more weight off without being noticable

The inner fender is seperate from the outer fender, and unbolts fairly easily. The problem is that it's the attachment point for a lot of stuff, at least on the passenger's side (changing out a power antenna is too much fun). If it's causing a clearance problem, I'd probably try a couple swats with a hammer before I removed it.
