Im glad to have my windows tinted after seeing all that glass shatter. I remember at school we had a DUI presentation ongoing for a week for the upcoming prom, they showed a girl that was driving drunk, or was involved, I dont remember. She got into the accident she had chards of glass in her face, she looked horrendously ugly only because of the glass, she had morphine to stop the pain and the medics were picking glass out of her face.

Is there a way to tint the windshield? With an invisible tint?

Windshield is laminated safety glass, and will not explode into a million seperate pieces. It stays together. Side window glass is only tempered, it shatters into pieces, but with rounded edges as opposed to razor-sharp like plate glass. It's still able to tear a person up, but won't slice you like lunchmeat.

Did you happen to notice that they claim the fuel tank passed the test ? Did you see how the impact was at an angle and not a direct broadsided hit in both tests ? Tests must of been sponcored by GM. The cab takes most of the initial impact before it even gets to where the tank is mounted.

Did anyone happen to remember Nightline was BUSTED big time because they rigged the truck with rocket motors? Very noticeable when viewed in slow motion. It was funny watching sparks coming from under the rockers BEFORE impact.

No, not Nightline, Dateline.

Different network. Similar stupidity. I can see how you mixed them up.

I was talking about those tests last week with my girlfriend's father, those were the ones done for proving the hazzards of GM's sidemounted tanks on their 73-88 truck lines

My brother locked his keys in the car yesterday. AAA gets there, after 15 minutes they get the door open. AAA leaves, and I'm bout to get into the car. My little brother slams his door shut, and the driver door window exploded in his face. He only had time to blink his eye. Got some small cuts to his nose, but other then that he was okay. The stress by AAA on the window, while trying to break in cause the window to shatter. I'm glad my car windows are tinted.

Get into it in less than 3 minutes HA!
Some thieves can disappear with the whole car in less than 60 seconds
