The two problem families, aside from broken cranks, broken timing chains, etc, are ignition and fuel.
You probably do have fuel being injected because you can smell fuel... but you should remove a spark plug (#1 cylinder), and check for smell/wetness, just to make sure. Have you changed your fuel filter? It's under the driver's side rear seat, under the car and attached to the frame rail. A clogged filter will not provide enough fuel to the engine for it to fire. A weak/dead fuel pump will do the same. Do you hear the pump whine when you turn the key into the ON position?
Putting the fuel aside, you replaced a lot of ignition parts, and you said you have spark, but you didn't say how you know you have spark.
Have you taken a spare spark plug, and attached it to the #1 plug wire and then grounded the plug threads to the block and THEN had someone else crank the engine, to actually SEE if you really had spark?
My guess is that you don't have spark.
If you really did change the plugs, wires, opti, and coil --- then the only things left are
1. 12" long 4-wire wiring harness from pass side top of engine -to- opti. This harness often fails by corrosion, espec where it plugs into the opti.
2. bad ignition module (attaches to a heat sink, next to coil).
3. bad PCM, in re drivers to the opti.
4. opti is still bad.
If ANY of these 4 items were bad, you would NOT have spark. BAd coils have been known to happen, especially with an aftermarket coil..... but again, if you had a bad coil, you probably would have zero spark.
So if you really do have spark, and fuel, I don't know where to go next.
Make sure the coil wire really is plugged in. - Ken
