Can I remove them on a 91 Civ Caprice Classic? I love the look of the impalas but the skirt does grow on you. Just wondering if there was a way to make it look like a 94-96?

you have two extremely hard options... one is to replace the whole panel with the new one, or you can cut the skirts off and weld a little bit of metal to compensate in a certain spot.... overall, not worth it IMO

I cut mine and welded in some metal. Still not completed but I do have pictures on my website.

another option is to roll them out..on my 91' i had 17x8.5 budniks..Every time i turned a corner they would rub..i put the car out in my driveway(level ground), and stuck a pipe in the wheel well..have another person drive, and hold the pipe tight!! when your done, depending on how much pressure you put on the arch, and the size of the pipe, it should pull it out about 1-2"..looks really nice..specially with wider tires, and lower springs...don't clone..make your caprice stand out on it's own!!!customize, don't imitate..

I sold that car back in 98'..with the rear fenders rolled out, it now sit on 20"x8" triple gold dayton wires..no rubbing!! It is real easy to do..Took me all of an hour to get the desired look..and slammed with the right wheels, looks aggressive as hell!!! By the way i did not mention, but i did have to cut the inside lip of wheel off slightly with dremel..i tried that before i decided just to roll them out...

I'll tell you what, I loved the 93 up roundies when I first got my car. Then I cut my wells and welded in the patches. They are just what I want. If you got the tools and the material hack away. BUT, HEAR THIS!! Now, I wish I wouldnt have because of a few cars I have seen (Randodes, Alex Molero's..etc.etc) that have really turned my thinking around. That look is really special, especially like heavy said, with the right lowered stance and some fat ass rims! The PIPE technique, although sounds crude, may be the right trick to spice up that well yet keep the stock appearance. Great idea! I have another 91 heading for the shop once this one is rolling, that one will retain the wells.
