Look at what I accidentally stumbled across

Best mile performance to date:
10.59 seconds @ 127 mph

This 1989 Chevrolet Caprice 4-door started its service with the Phoenix Police Department on June 19, 1989. Instead of 'retiring' the car after 107,175 miles, Detective Gary Whipp, Officer John Knajdi and City Mechanic Mike Scott developed a different and better idea. They recycled and rebuilt this vehicle into the fastest REAL police car in Arizona, 'Blue by You'!

I understand this was a quote from the other site. Someone over there needs to learn how to proofread though... The car is a 1989 which started its service in 1989 with 107,175 miles??? I'd assume that they meant it retired with 107,175 miles.

My orig. post has been edited to show the correction that was made on the web-site I posted, after I recieved a friendly heads up email from Officer/Driver Chuck Williams..
Deffinately a great site and he also informed me that not only are they preparing a new car that not will see strip duty but also still in-service , he is also a fellow B-body owner off-duty as well(a 96 BBB)
