I have just bought a 1991 Caprice 9C1 and I have a few questions. The engine idles smoothe but once it is put into gear, the engine stalls and hesitates. Someone suggested having the fuel injectors replaced as well as the fuel filter. I have not been able to locate an owner/repair manual and do not know where the fuel filter is located. Can someone tell me where the fuel filter is and if the fuel injectors are easy to replace. The injectors do not spray in a mist but instead spray in a heavy stream. Any help is appreciated.

Get on the ground, in front of the back tire on the driver's side,go under the car with you looking up at the car. Go all the way under the car until ur head passes the driver's side frame. On the frame will be the gas filter right on top of the frame. The filter is held there by this thing that raps around it. The thing is held by one bolt that attaches to the frame. The filter has taps so it comes out pretty easily. When you change filters make sure sure you place it in the direction it flows to the engine correctly!!!!

I'm also having a hesitation problem with my '94 9c1. It doesn't always happen, but often when I floor the gas, the car engine hesitates for about 4 seconds, accelerating like a Geo, then quiets down for a moment, and starts roaring and hauling like a 9c1 should. Any ideas?
