Mostly out of curiosity and fun would an L99 benefit from a LT4 cam? The LT1 and L99 cams are the same so swapping them wouldn't be a problem but would it be worth it? Would there be a substantial power gain, enough to even consider it? I have thought of really adding some pawer to an L99 just to be unique. I know most people would say to just save the money and buy an LT1 and get better power right off the bat. Any opinion is appreciated.

I remember someone having cammed a L99 and he said a stock LT4 cam was as big as you could go without it getting very peaky. I am going to say you will need gears and a TC.

I would think a bigger cam in the L99 would kill the already needy low end.

I agree with 96capriceMGR, gears and TC would probably be necessary. The L99 needs 4.11 gears anyway, and that's what I used when I had one, plus a 2200 TC. It was a significant improvement over stock and I had the stock cam.
