Do you weld a little piece of metal in there or what? Can you just paint the small section or does the whole door need to be repainted? Cost for a pro to do it? Will it leak at all if I dont replace the door seal?
Any and all comments are appreciated!

I don't have a spotlight on my 9C1, and I'm not REAL familar with them, but I do know how to use them But I *THINK* there's just a bracket that's mounted to the frame(don't know the proper name, but the one that windshield is connected to ) And once it's removed, there will still be a have oval shape cut into the door, and I would assume some silicone would be a good filler for the hole. Hope this help's. I was lucky enough to get mine w/o a spotlamp.

Dennis you will need to have some metal welded in there if you want it to last. A good bodyshop will be able to spot that area without painting the whole door. And like David said use the silicone or some type of sealant. You could use the same kind of sealer that you seal up windshields with and get away with it.

Good Luck!!
