Almost as clean

I have seen some clean 305's.
I just sold a wagon that had 209,000 miles on it. Engine was terrible looking and completely stock from what I was told, anyways the thing purred like a kitten. I am gonna pull my 305 and go with a basic carbed small block 350 only because I want that look. My 305 has 130,000 and runs super.

Thnx for the compliments guys!

It runs really well!

Only things I have done to her are:

- TBI Mod (body throttle silencer modified, airbox modified, resonator deleted, heat riser deleted)
- K&N air filter
- Timing Chain replaced (old one rattled a bit)
- Gear fluid and filter replaced.

She has run 146.000 miles now and still going strong.

It is not a flawless compartment, but I have this thing for clean engine bays.... :D

Since meetings/cruise season is starting over here, she has come out of storage again (under a carport and a carcover) in the back of the garden.

Time to wax and shine her again!

Here are some more pics:

The only thing that I'm gonna do in a short while, is installing my smoked tails with LED's and adjust the exhaust tips into a slash cut style.

Oh, and the photo's don't show the new Sungate windshield that was installed recently. That really helps in case we get some sun over here

@Thelyricist720 : Sungate windshields have this kind of purple-ish glow when the light hits it in the right position. It blocks out the sun rays (read > heat) even better then the stock windshield does.

@waynes91: I used some bumpershine for the shroud and all. I don't know the brand, I supposed it was from Turtle Wax. I don't know if this is also available at shops in your area? It is a bit of milky stuff that is easy to apply and even more easily is rubbed out to this shiny glow.

Sorry to hijack this thread btw.

The Sungates are basically a Factory Polarized Windsheild that was offered Standard on the Impala's and higher optioned Caprice's. Standard Caprice windsheilds are more clear/transparent than the Sungates, but they are still some what tinted(Besides the Sunblocker band at the top and along the sides.).

One of the rumored downsides to the Sungates, is the dreaded Dash Rash(Were the dash will turn a brown/ etc) that is supposed to be caused by a higher concentrait of the Sun's UV's being only partially blocked during Sunnier days
