SOLD - 1996 DGGM Caprice 9C1 LT-1 - SOLD

Very nice California rust free Caprice with 9C1 police package and LT-1 260 HP V-8 engine. Equipped with A/C, PW, PM, PL, AM/FM radio, rear defogger, power trunk release, G80 posi, tilt wheel and aftermarket console. Original Dark Gray Green Metallic paint with a gray full cloth and carpeted interior, this car never had spotlights or roof lights and was most likely used as a municipal car. It was released from Santa Clara County service in 2014 and only has 98,500 original miles today. It has been very well maintained and is clean, tight and dependable with new carpeting, water pump, fuel pump, Optispark, coil, ignition module, radiator, front brake rotors and pads and Bilstein 8X3 style shock absorbers. Mechanically original with no modifications. It does have some minor dings, scratches, and interior wear from normal use but it is in MUCH better condition than typical cars of this type. It is very hard to find these cars today with mileage this low and in rust free original condition. Use as a great second car or perfect for an SS clone

It is a beautiful car and actually the color that I prefer over my 96 BBB. But you do realize that these cars will only value and insure for a couple grand. Hell I bought my 96 SS for only 6500 a few months ago. I wish you the best on sale bud sadly I dont see you getting half of your asking price. Good luck and hopefully somebody with money or a buyer over sees will but it soon.

kiefer, as much as I hope you're wrong you probably have a point. I bought this car two years ago (and probably paid too much for it) because I had been looking for a nice 9C1 for a while and every one I saw was a 200,000 mile POS. When this one popped up I jumped on it and proceeded to put quite a bit into it for repairs and maintenance. I fully understand the junkers being worthless but I hope someone on this site will appreciate an untouched original. Anyway, I lowered my asking price and will consider any PM offers.

I wasnt knocking the car or trying to be rude. So I hope you did not take offense to my statement. I looked for years before I bought my car, cause they were either junk with too many miles or asking too much. Sadly even when you find a perfect car like yours, there just isnt the right price out there for such a nice car. I have a 61 Impala 4dr Hard Top hot rod, that is bad Azz and I have over 25k in the last year. It is actually in the shop now with a new motor going in it. It is appraised for 30k, but because it is a 4dr, I dont think that I would get half of what I have in her. Maybe you should just hold on to her for a few more years as the junkers start to fall apart or rust out, and then they will want your beauty.

DGGM 9C1 for sale

kiefer9699 I don't think you came across as being an A-#ole. In fact I suggested virtually the same thing to Don via a PM. Speaking as a guy who has 50 B bodies I think I can say that I have a fondness for them...particularly nice clean rust free examples.

Don's car appears to be a beautiful example, in a desirable color combo. Sadly the market for these cars is limited. To most the LT1 9C1 is just an old cop car. I hope Don is able to get his asking price, and that she goes to someone who will appreciate the car as is.

Don if you don't get your asking price you know how to reach me

I have just placed this car on Ebay with what I consider to be a reasonable reserve. Don't want to break the rules with a link, my Ebay handle is drjrjunk if anyone is interested.
