Make me an offer...

Well, guys its time. I have weighed the cost's involved in making my wagon the way I want it, and its time to let it go. My budget just cant handle the investment at this time. I could just garage it, and let it sit while I save up the cash to do what I want to do. But, thats not what this car deserves. It needs to be out there being enjoyed by someone. I almost guarantee you wont find one this clean. Im asking for $5000, and I am willing to entertain trades. Id be interested in a CLEAN Suzuki Samurai first of all. But, any midsize 70s-90s 4x4 SUV could be considered. My wife and I do a lot of camping and traveling on dirt/rock roads and have decided that is the route we want to go with. While I love the B-body, and want to have one that screams on any track on any day, I have to be real and recognize that I would rather go slow off-road lol. So, make me an offer guys, lets see what sticks.

Just as an FYI and if you're asking that kind of Coin, you would get much better results if you at least include a list of all the Pro's and Con's of the car. GLWS.

================================================== =============

'95 Caprice SS conversion - Bonny Buckets - 96 Column, Shifter and Console - 3.73 Gear and Herter tune - Z/28 Cluster - Blazer OH Console - Green/Pink bushings - Chromed Impala Wheels - Eibach Springs and Bilstein Shocks - Corvette Engine Dress - the list goes on and still more to do...it never ends.

90k original miles. 30k on the the OE replacement 307. Only rust on the whole car I just attached pics of. Needs the headliner fabric reglued, and a dash pad. Thats it. New tires, new brakes and lines, belts, hoses, etc, all brand new. I have almost every receipt for work ever done on this car. You will not find a cleaner one unless its already been fully restored.

pros

I actually have the original owners manual, service recommendation manual, even the business card with a Smartie taped to it that was in the ashtray when the original owner took delivery. Im currently hunting down the last of the receipts for all of the work I personally had done. You wont find one in better shape, or with better documentation. I think I may even have the original window sticker, but Ill have to check on that.

GLWS - Anyone know if these vintage Chevy's have a copy of the build sheet stuffed into the rear seat cushion underneath the springs? When I was driving around 77-79 Ford LTD-II, Tbirds and Merc's I'd always find a copy of the assembly line build sheet under the rear seat. Helpful to identify the rear axle I was looking for - but never found on many a trip to the boneyard.

Like I said, make an offer.

Shoot me an offer guys, Im ASKING $5000, or a good trade for a 4x4 SUV. Lets see what we can work out. I DO have all of the receipts for everything ever done to this car. Including the changing of windshield wiper blades! The window sticker is a possibility as well, I need to get home after work and check on that. I can provide more pics, and we can talk about delivery if that would be necessary. Lets get rollin guys!

Too high?

Guys, you could drive this thing from NY to LA and back with you and 7 other friends in comfort. The vinyl couches, i mean seats, will soothe your tired back side and every bump will feel like mere clouds and lull the passengers to sleep. There is nothing wrong mechanically with this car. And it is 95% perfect as far as looks go. Lets hear some offers! Never know what I may take...especially if its a 4x4 of some sort (even a UTV!)

IDK Too High?

Did you find a NADA or KBB type place to check the going rate for your setup and corroborate your asking price? Every interested potential buyer will.

\'96SS SOB: SSRI, Herter Tune, Tri-Y II, , 3000 Edge, F/HO bars, METCO extendeds with CV MMC, Bilsteins, currently Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta (315/35 rear). Finally, wait for it... LT-4 knock module!
\'96FWB BUW-Butt Ugly White: PCMPerformance tune, HDFA w/ swissed filter, 1/2 SLP s.s. catback with H- and Flow Super 50s, oem opti rebuilt 3 times, SS Bars, METCO LCA, Airlift 1000, Monroe SS, PowerTrax No-Slip, CTS wheels with +1 rubber. Finally, yes again... LT-4 knock module!

Yes, I will even provide a printout of the NADA and the KBB and my CarFax. Problem is, those places dont take into account the fact that mechanically, this car is almost 100% brand new. If the tranny and rear end were replaced, then it WOULD be all new. They also dont take into account the service records that have been collected, that ALWAYS boost the value of any old car. As Ive said though, 5k is my ASKING price. Talk me down. Does no one remember how to haggle??? Make me a trade offer I cant refuse. Low ball me, but offer to come pick it up yourself. Lets talk, come on now.

Obviously those sites are not the real indicator of a cars value though are they? I mean, according to KBB, the recently listed 96 Impala SS with 19 miles on it is only worth $11,687 lol. But, its listed at 31,900. So, dont act like KBB is the be all end all of pricing...they are WAY off on "classics".
