95 Caprice wagon for sale

Well, the time has come again for me to post for sale a 95 Caprice wagon. I have had this car for 5 years and I'm the second owner. It had 83K miles when I bought it, and now has 160K miles. It has been a great car and gets more compliments than any Chevelle, Corvette, Mustang, or any other car I have ever owned. The motor has started knocking, and has been for about 6 months. I've been told it sounds like a wrist pin, as the oil pressure and revving of the engine is still good. I am going tomorrow to check on getting it fixed, but just thought I would see if someone might want it to put a motor in that they may already have. The wagon has the wagon rear end with a new posi and 3.23 gears. It is a non-tow pack car with dual electric fans, but has a nice hitch, which is unavailable new anymore, and an electric brake control, supplemental trans cooler, and air bags in the rear springs. I towed my sedan twice locally, but no long distance tows. It also has a set of Clear Image Tri-Y headers and high flow cats that came off my sedan when I bought a new set for it. I had these re-coated and put them on the wagon. The rest of the system is stock with the resonators removed when I installed the hitch. The wheels are 15X7 truck rallies painted body color with center caps and trim rings. I'm asking $2500 for it, and if you're interested, please give me a call at 919-612-2672, or email at [email protected]. I'm sure there are other things that I have overlooked, but will add as I think of them.

95 Caprice Wagon for sale

Additional items I thought of:

New Opti, WP, Radiator, and 160*thermostat within last year
ABS removal this year
AIR pump removal when I first got it
Trans pan with drain plug when I first got it
New Eaton Posi and used 3.23 gear and all new bearings when I first got it, no noise
Removed body side moldings when I first got it, someone had glued left rear on at some point and the mark there is where
some paint had come off prior to my purchasing the car.

Admittedly, I probably won't be buying it, but I'm fairly certain that prospective buyers would be interested to see the RPO sticker?
While you're opening the tailgate, does the 5th door both swing as a door, & drop as a tailgate?

The tailgate opens in both directions and rear window works great. The SPID label is so faded it is hard to see, although it can be made out. If you have a question about a particular option, I'll try to decipher it for you.

Yeah Nab. It is amazing this car is the same color as the sedan I sold. I checked with Mayhem Motorsports yesterday and they still have the engine that came out of my white sedan, so I will probably have them freshen it and put it in the wagon if it doesn't sell right away. Pics of engine attached

Off the market

Well, I had several interested, but none enough to come get it. So today I put a deposit on having my engine and transmission rebuilt with Mayhem Motorsports. Going to be just a stock rebuild on the engine, but it already has good valve springs and 1.6 rockers, and I have a 22-2400 stall converter to put in it. Should make that wagon feel a little lighter.

Thanks to all that expressed interest...

Oh, it can still be bought, but not for the previously listed price...
