Cool Should I shim a 1.5 herb Adams sway bar

I currently have my rear factory swaybar shimmed
For drag racing. I am getting a used Herb Adams
Rear sway bar. Should I shim this one just like
My factory one or install it straight up without shims.
Keep in mind, this is only to help me launch at the track
On slicks. Currently I'm at low 1.7's on motor and
High 1.5's on a 75 shot. Tried the 125 shot and I ended
Up with low 1.6's . It spun and it didn't hook that well.
If anybody runs this bar or anything similar , can you let
Me know your experience and if you used washers to shim
It. Thanks.

If you were happy with the shim thicknesses on your stock bar, I'd use half that on the HA bar as your starting point. Yes, definitely some shim is required for best starting line performance. The harder you hit the tires, the more bias (shimming) you need.

Thanks a bunch. I figured that because the bar is a lot
Stiffer but just wanted to get another opinion.
Thanks .

I did about 3/8" on each side with the stock bar. Do about half that with the HA bar.
Shim the rear bolt location on the driver side and the front bolt location on the pssgr side.
I suggest putting a jack under the frame on the pssgr side to give yourself a little slack in the system to get the washers in there.
