Any reason to Replace Pitman Arm

I am getting ready to replace my steering linkage from spindle to spindle and am wondering if there is any reason to bother with the pitman arm. There appears to be no wear surfaces on it.

Feedback please?

Greg

Not really...It's a non wear item. The only time I can see replacing it is if if got bent in an accident or if the hole that the center link mates to got "wallowed out" somehow.

If you do have to replace it, make sure you have a torque wrench that goes above 150lbs. IIRC - the torque on the nut is something like 180 lbs. I swapped steering boxes and ran into this issue. Just used my wrench at the highest setting, then used a breaker bar on my wrench to tighten the nut a little bit more.
