Power steering pump leaking from shaft area?
A few months back, I replaced the power steering pump with a remanufactured unit (pretty sure it's an Endurance reman from Autozone), the hoses, and had my steering gear box gone over by Lee Manufacturing. Since then, I have since had a power steering fluid leak. The leak is initially visible dripping from the bottom of the AC compressor onto the PS lines below it.
The lines connected to the reservoir are dry, so the leak's not coming from there. The connections where the high pressure line and the reservoir hose attach to the PS pump are also dry. I can't see the front of the PS pump as it's hidden behind the pulley, but I suspect that's where the leak is coming from. As far as I know, there's no where else in that vicinity for a leak to come from. I figured I'd see if you guys concurred before I started pulling stuff apart to see the front of the PS pump.
