I'm running vogtland springs in the rear and just added more stereo equipment in the trunk. Will the Airlift 1000's effect my ride? Pro's and cons pls:confused:

Thanks Fishah, are they pretty easy to install? Just tryn to figure out how to run the lines clean?

can they be used on a fleetwood ? If so can i use the factory air pump or is there a specific pump to be used for this application? Just bought a 95 FWB and am tryin to X that lil back end sagging look.

They can be used on any car. Just need to get the right bags for your springs.
Factory Air pumps can be hooked up and many forum members have. Exactly how, I've no personal experience.

Installation is not hard in a driveway with jack-stands. I ran the lines down the bottom of the spring pockets and through the frame rails up to the license plate area for manual filling.

Ok so I can run these without having a pump hooked up and increase/decrease psi with a tire inflator or at the gas station air pump? If so I would definatly be going that route unless using the factory air pump is not to big of a deal to do. If anyone has info on hooking up to factory air pump any help would be very much appreciated .

LOL Them question-askers done got tired of waiting and ain't been online for between 5-10 years now.

As for questions they all 'bout been answered too many times over the decades here. Searching just 'airlift electronic level control' and a couple other parameters got numerous quick returns in a few seconds, here's just one:

And then of course those always beget successive leads opening up:

Okay... I guess people still don't understand this concept:

If all we did was just search to find answers to our questions, we wouldn't have a forum, we would have a wiki. On cars this old, there are no new questions. Everything has been covered before.

If this forum has any chance of surviving, you guys need to bite the bullet and discuss things that have already been discussed.

I hand-picked this particular thread specifically because of the lack of answers relative to other similar threads. This isn't some sort of oversight.

Old thread but I was genuinely shocked at how much better my ride was when I aired up the bags. Like the ride felt muted, I definitely have some binding going on still but the harshness is gone. Set at 7 psi per side.

I run really short rear springs so people with larger springs may not see the same result but if your lowered and facing a rough ride try these out.

There are two openings that you can just pass the valves through and put washers on each to hold it in place with nuts. Then just run the line through the frame to the opening near the frame and then under the spring perch hole.

Nice update. I actually have a set of bags in Hotchkis springs on my part shelf. I think I'll throw them in my springs (or try those springs) to see how it works on our terrible roads. This hose kit?

Looks like that would work, would just need bigger washers though so it holds the valve nicely in place when you pass it through the plate holes. The line comes in one piece so you just end up cutting it in half but there's enough length easily.

I didn't air them up for sometime since I thought it was no big deal based on some of the threads I've read but by far this was the biggest change in ride quality with my short springs.

I installed a ball valve between the two air lines that accomplishes either/both ways of connecting bags.... Plus ,can be opened to equalize pressure ,and then closed to keep R&L separate if desired.
