i'm putting some St springs on a '95 9C1 (stock)to shorter ones, or will i have to change the shocks, or can i just install the springs and be ready to go?

Depending on the mileage on your current shocks, it's usually a good idea to install new ones when you install the springs.

I kept my original shocks with ST springs, for a minute, and the ride was horrible (granted, my shocks were shot). FWIW, had I known the ride was going to be as bad as it was, I would've definitely waited for new shocks. All good now....ST's & Bilsteins give a very nice ride.
