I drilled out all the rubber with a 14.4v Dewalt and a 1/2" bit. Then knocked the center out and pried all of the rubber out. Then I took a small die grinder and cut a groove across the inside of the large part of the bushing. This relieves the pressure on against the axle loops. Then take channel locks and bend whats left toward the middle. It should fall right out.

Just be careful with the die grinder. You don't want to cut too deep. To put the new ones in, get a 2.5 lb sledge and a 12" piece of 2X4 and beat the crap out of them (as evenly as possible).

Once I had one out, the other took me 1/2 hour. Good luck.

You can make a puller fairly inexpensively with some iron/galvenized steel pipe fittings, grade 8 bolts, nuts and serious washers or a metal piece like a WADA. The pipe fitting should like a ~3" to ~1" adapter. The larger end has to be big enough so the bushing will slide into it. Take the new bushing with you to the hardware store you buy the right stuff. Place the adapter on the outside of bushing, put the screw with your washers at both ends and tighten the bolt. After a few choice words the bushing will be out. Installation is the reverse. With the right stuff you can have the bushings in/out in < 2 hours.

Good luck
