On Friday, a friend and I installed all of the suspension goodies that I've been accumulating over the last few months: Global West rear lower control arms, Hotchkiss front and rear sway bars, ZQ8 bumpstops, and HAL QA1 12-way adjustable shocks on all 4 corners. Man, does the SSled ever feel different!
The factory DeCarbon shocks were well worn with 94K miles on them. At least one of them (driver's side rear) was completely toasted - no damping left at all. I've only driven it for 2 days and am still fooling with shock settings (4 front, 5 rear feels best so far) and getting used to the changes. But, these parts have transformed the SSLed to be much more agile and responsive. I can't wait for the next autocross!
