I have all the tools, but I may have to give out the rear shock installation. my hands just don't have the mobility they had 10 years ago. arthitis maybe.. who knows... but my hand just hurts from holding the wrench in that arkward position.

If GM used those speed clips in the front, why couldn't they use them in the rear ???

Luckily this is a job that is hard to screw up- if I have to resort to giving it out.

how did you guys get in there without a lift?

Do a search under "rear shock install". There is a lot of good info that helped me out. Also, having a freind help hold the shock helps TONS. If worse comes to worse, I've heard PepBoys installs shcoks for $20 a piece. HTH

I had it up on jack stands, used an offset box wrench for the top nut "13mm I believe" and a long extension with a socket for the bottom.

You might try dropping the bolt in from the top and putting the nut on the bottom. Its alot easier that way. I did mine, 3 times up on ramps. LONG extension and a 13 mm wrench. Once you figure it out, its easy.
