Can anyone help me I just purchased rims and tires for my 95 ss. I bought 22x8.5 rims with 265/35/22 tires. How much can I lower my ss without it rubbing. Some people say 2" can anyone help me??? I'm very confused

check in the wheels and tire section to be sure, but I think 22x9.5 rub in the front inside the fender wells.

in order to fit 22s without rubbing you have to actually lift it using caprice 9c1 springs and 285/35 or smaller tires.

*edit* this was my understanding if you do not want to rub at all. if other people have different experiences than i stand corrected.

Actually 22's will fit a lowered b-body. Sharp95ss has 22's on his car and it's lowered, and it looks awesome. I've actually got my Caprice lowered 2" and I'm running 20's right now, I'll have 22x9.5 with 255/30/22's on tommorrow! [img]smile.gif[/img] Not sure about any rubbing issues, but I'll let you know on Friday.

It's been said before, and it'll be said again.

Rubbing issues will be dependant upon the backspacing of your wheels, the width, and the amount of lowering. You could one set of 8.5" wide rims that don't rub, yet have another that do because they have a different backspacing.
