Just got my car back from having a front end rebuild
New Hotckis springs sway bars and sleaves global west del a lum
New moog everything else
When I first got the car back the steering wheel was way off center about 90 degrees and had a way reduced turning radius but the alignment shop swares that the alignment is perfect...... and I drove it and it drives fantastic.
The alignment guy asked if I would bring it back so that he could staighten out the steering wheel
So I took it back and he managed to get the steering wheel staight ahead but my turning radius is huge now He also gave me back my Hotchkis sleaves becase he didn't feel comfortable with the amount of thread engagement so he went back to the stock sleaves.
I looked under the car and could see noware that the tires are rubbing.....
What the heck Am I missing?

Talking

I suspected that
Is there anything more technical that comes to mind so that I can show him his clue?
Only because I am a little clueless myself
Thanks Paul Mclachlan

Did he disconnect the intermediate steering shaft from the box, or the pitman arm from the box? It sounds like he got one of these off-center, and tried to correct it by merely adjusting the sleeves on the tie rods. Otherwise, you shouldn't have any significant change in turn radius, the tie rod ends should have plenty of thread to use the Hotchkis adjusters, and they should be pretty even in terms of threads exposed across the board. At this point, I wouldn't be trying to discuss it with him, I would be trying to find another alignment guy. If he even gave you your car back with the steering wheel 90 degrees off in the first place I would have to question his basic understanding of what he does and how he does it.
