Lucky for you I recently finished my research on this subject... I decided on putting Impala SS springs on my 9C1 with stiff Bilstein shocks. My shocks should be here by the end of the week and I have a friend's uncle getting the springs from the dealer.

Go to http://www.shox.com, http://www.thunderracing.com, and http://hotchkisperformance.com to see the specs for various springs and shocks.

Good luck!

I like the ST's. I was looking for the same effect you are. I also added the 1104/0929 shocks and it feels like a Vette. (Well, not really but it is very stiff and handles great.) They are not progressive and they lower the car by about 2 inches in the front and 2 1/2 in the rear. I also removed the isolators. A little noisy like that but hey, I'm the only one that drives or even rides in my car.

My Intrax also handle pretty good for a damn rolling tank of a car I have. They stiffen up alot better than the stock 9C1's. I also have the 1104/0929 shocks. I think the shocks has alot do do with stiffness and they really helped alot.
