My '95 9C1, built in 6/95, needed new lower ball joints. After searching, I surmised that it would use 9/16 ball joints (one of the many posts said that 6/95 would have the smaller LBJs). I took a gamble, and bought the Moog 9/16 joints. My trusty shop called and told me I bought the wrong ones. My car did, in fact, have 5/8" lower ball joints. I wasn't happy about having to exchange them, but I was happy about having the larger ball joints. There's no particular reason for this post, except to ask if anyone really knows exactly when the switch happened.

I don't think we'll ever know the cutoff date, when GM went to the 5/8" LBJ's on the 9C1's.
Better yet, go back to shop & ask what size nuts were on the OEM 5/8" BJ's. Please post size.
This would be an easy way for us to tell which BJ's are on the '95's.
