Well? If a decent set of tubular upper and lower front control arms were available, would you buy them, or consider buying them if the price were right?

I may have stumbled across a gentleman and his company that may be able to accommodate us - provided there is enough interest.

We aren't talking group purchase here. Just trying to get a feel for how many folk would be interested if they were available. I would think many folk would be, as front uppers and lowers are about the only major aftermarket parts not yet available to us.

This gentleman asked that at this point I don't identify him and his company yet. He is already bombarded with daily phone calls wanting to talk tech or just BS - and he/they just don't have the time for this. And he fears that if word got out that he was (the only one) working on a set of tubed arms for our cars that our community might possibly add to his phone headaches.

So....please ladies and gentlement, if you have any interest at all regarding this subject, please post your comments here. If a lot of positive feedback is posted, I will compile a list of those showing immediate interest and pass this info on to him. He said if there is a market for tubular upper and lower control arms for the B-body he would step up to the plate to see if he could come up with a set.

Post your thoughts. I know of no one that is even considering the idea of producing these. This may be our opportunity. BTW: he makes beautiful tubular front arms for other GM models.

Definitely interested, although I'll admit that I'd be more interested in redesigned uppers (in conjunction with spindle spacers on the upper balljoints) that change the geometry for a better camber curve.

Also, they would need to use a standard size bushing as I am NOT gonna give up my Del-a-lums on the uppers and lowers in front

Ditto what Ed said (except for the bushing part). I would be interested if they provide improved handling characteristics. If they maintained stock geometry, I would probably not be interested.

I'd be interested, especially if a set of lowers with a coil-over style lower shock mount was able to be built.

I would be very interested, but they must have redesigned geometry and be able to use the Del-a-lums (or something better). Yeah...what Ed said
