Thumbs up

Ready to buy Intrax springs for the SS. Looking for tips on replacing all springs with just regular tools and jack.

Be prepared to spend the better part of your day with this mod. You WILL need a good quality spring compressor and floor jack, not mention a variety of socket sizes and open-end wrenches. An extra pair of hands would be useful at a few stages during R/R of control arms, etc. You can borrow/rent the spring compressor at Auto Zone. There was no charge when I did mine. Check the SSForum list back through last summer for lots of detailed discussion about the R/R of the springs. Basically, there's two methods: one is taking out the control arm bolts and allowing it to swing down for removal of the spring, the other is disconnect the lower ball joint and let that side swing down to remove the spring. Personally, I prefer the balljoint method because re-aligning those control arm bolts under great duress from the springs is a major pain in the arse, if you know what I mean. Heck, this mod is a B**ch! but when finally finished, result is sweet. Good luck, and may the Force Be with You!
