Question

Replacing idler arm and center link on 94 Caprice Classic. I believe the old idler arm may have been installed backwards, because the stud in the center link it attaches to was cranked way over towards the passenger side of the car.

The shaft on the idler arm that mounts to the frame...which direction should the bend at the bottom of it be pointing...towards the passenger tire, or towards the engine?

Also, how do you torque the castle nuts on the idler arm and pitman arm when you can't get a socket and torque wrench up into those tight spaces?

I estimate torque on suspension parts. Bigger the studs/bolts, the more torque. The one's in your question...don't know how to describe it, but pretty tight. And don't back off on nut to align Cotter Pin, tighten further to insert CP.
