I have a rear UCA bolt that won't stay tight. Anyone happen to know what size and length I could put in there? SAE prefered (no one here knows what a metric bolt is). TIA.

How'd you know I had the info info in front of me?

The bolt is actually 12mm. You could use a 7/16 I guess, but it will be about half a 1/16 size too small, if that makes sense. The mounts for the bolt are about 3-1/16 wide so make sure to get one at least 3-1/2 wide or more for the nut. I also believe that everything is grade 8.

While you are under there, could you check to see how hard it would be to drill the forward UCA frame holes. I'd like to take them out to 1/2" but I kind of doubt that there is enough room to get a drill in there with a 1/2 bit.

There is hardley room to get a wrench on either end, let alone drill them out. It's one of the upper forward bolts on mine that won't tighten up. I should have put all new in there when I did the BMR's.

Off to the Tractor Supply I go. Thanks for the info.

Is there room to drill from one side only? I was thinking that if it was at all possible it would have to be done by drilling out the accessible hole if it exists) and just continuing through to the other hole. I just couldn't remember if there was something "permanent" in the way of if it could be done by removing something, like the exhaust maybe.

I guess it's possibel you could drill it out if you took enough stuff out. I don't know that you would benefit all that much for the amount of trouble it would be. I tried taking my old over the axle pipes off when I got my new ones and it was a huge pain. I ended up cutting them so don't expect them to come out easily. The springs and probably shocks would need to come out too. You might still need a right angle drill.

I will look at it in a couple weeks when I R&R my springs and shocks.
