These are not b body related but are pics from a 85 Monte SS that was brought to me for some updates on the system and this is one of the few things i found that were "shady" lol. Keep in mind this car has less than 500 miles on this install and the bags are pretty much trash. I have never seen airbags stuffed down into the lower arm and bolted in like this
Notice the bump stop has rubbed a place in the bag down to the cords.
damn thats not good, that whole bag setup needs to be taken out and deposited in the trash. best way to do that setup is a larger cup on the bottom, and cut out the top of the spring pocket to a larger diameter, and have the bag rest in the upper spring cup on the cross member.
Hmmm... that wasn't what I'd call a quality install
We are still working on the prototype lower control arm specifically for bags so that b-body guys will never have to worry about getting an install like that.
