I saw these LCAs on E-Bay...

90-96 IMPALA SS/CAPRICE LOWER CONTROL ARMS EX

Are these any good? The price seems pretty good...are they 1/2" or 3/4", does anyone know for sure?
Lastly, I know this has been asked over a million times, but here it is one more time...

if I put on LCAs that are only extended 1/2", then I should be OK with a stock DS, correct?

Thanks,
Rob

You'll still need extended uppers, whether they are 1/2" or 3/4". As for what they are, email the seller...

As for needing a DS with the the shorter ones, it can go either way.

I've never ever seen that design before... I don't think I'd want to be the first to use them either... Stay clear of them.. You get what you pay for is my honest opinion.

If you go with extended lowers, you will also need extended uppers... Then you SHOULD get a longer driveshaft...

And I wouldn't buy from a seller who only offers the lowers in the extended length. You definately need the uppers as well. The design looks like Hotchkis but the Hotchkis are only extended 1/2"

I e-mailed this guy a while back, he replied with some specs & prices. He uses .120 wall square tubing for lowers, and makes them in 3/4" extended length. The adjustable uppers are priced at $150, so for $235 + shipping you've got a decent set of CA's. He quoted me $37 shipping into Canada, so continental US points should be about 2/3's of that.
He runs a fab shop in Barberton, OH, and caters to the speedy-go-fast crowd. I found three folks who have used his shop for work in the past, and all of them raved about the quality, workmanship & service. Happy racers are a guy's best advertising...

Is there even a bushing in those arms???

Compare those to the ones I just intalled:

This pic doesn't show the greaseable poly bushings, or the pre-intalled grease fittings.

They are from KCI Fabrication, btw, and I think their price is comparable for the set...

Note that the Del-a-lums have a bit more to them than being billet aluminum with steel inserts.

Del-a-lums are quiet. All metal bushings have their use, but "quiet in a street car" does not come CLOSE to describing them
