Got my new Hotchkis springs in yesterday and they were pretty easy. I thought I had read a post about somebody doing this install and their car leaning an inch or more to one side. I indexed both rear springs with the top pointing to the drivers side on both springs. Is this correct? My car is leaning pretty bad. The passenger side is at least 1 inch higher than the driver side. HELP

I haven't been under there myself, but I've seen a few threads about this. There is a notch or something that the tip of the coil slips into on the bottom. Most times people have your problem it's because they are resting on that notch instead of in it.

rear springs-the tail at the top on the body end points towards the drivers side for both springs

front springs- on the lower control arm there are two small holes- the tail of the coil must sit between these two holes to be 'indexed' correctly-that means the spring blocks one hole but the other is not blocked from underneath control arm.

Once the weight of the car is on them they will not be moving around.

my rears were off and it was @ 1" diff sise to side.

So springs need to be properly seated right ? they won't seat them selves ? Is this why my car is lop sided kinnda? right front is lower! left rear is higher!
