Question

Well not really the mount itself but the bolts that hold the rear bar on. I removed the mounts from the LCA and have been trying to get the broken bolts out but it doesn't look good. Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks,

I had to take the control arm off, soak it with penetrating oil(I use Kroil) and drive the broken bolt out with a BFH and a punch.

Just curious, but...

What kind of LCA's do you have?

OEM? If so, what year?

I've got an HO sway on late model '95 OEM LCA's.

I used 1/2" aircraft bolts in place of the 3/8" stock or aftermarket bolts available - so far so good.

Stock 95 arms. I got the mounting brackets out of the arms. The mounting bolts from the bracket to the arm were still OK. It is the 4 bolts, two on each side, that mount the sway bar to the mount in the LCA.

It looks like I am going to try to drill out the rusted though bolts, retap and try to get some better mounting hardware.

Any more thoughts?

Thanks,
