I'm replacing the tie rods, stock to PST's kit, and I've run into a snag. Manual recommends counting the number of old threads and copying that. Did that, and the whole assemble is shorter than the original. Should I make the tie rod assemblies the same length, or the same number of exposed threads?

Also, a stupid question, how do you grease the front end? Do you pull open the dust boot a little bit and fill that with grease, or take out the little grease zert out and fill that with grease until the boot fills up from behind?

I'm not sure if your new tie rods have the same number of threads on them as the one's you replaced. I would try my best to get them situated as even as I could on both sides and hurry to get an alignment (reputable) ASAP. That way you know everything is where it should be.

As for the grease, dont remove the boots or the zerks. The zerk is there so you can grease these parts. I believe it has a little ball in the tip that is pressed inward when you use a grease gun on it.

What I usually do is go to the Jiffy Lube down the street and ask them how much to grease her up. Usually its free. They arent familiar with the ones on the sway bar bushings and LCA's, so thats and excuse for them to let me into the pit to show them. This way they also dont over grease anything.

Hope it helps some!
