I had the chance to get a measurement on my car today, and as it turns out, the rear end is about an inch lower than the front, and the drivers side is slightly higher than the passenger side! This was measuring from the fender down through the centercap of the wheel, to the ground.

So some time down the road I'm going to put new springs on the car. I like the lowered look a lot, but I am planning on putting 18x9's or 18x9.5's on the car, with 275's or 285 width tires. How low do ya'll think I could go without having to worry about my new wheels/tires rubbing?

I know a lot of people on the forum have lowered cars with 18" wheels, so I'm hoping for first hand experience.

Also, have people generally had better luck with one brand springs or another?

BTW I posted this in the Wheels & Tires section and didn't get any feedback. Hence the repeat post.

Those measurements are normal (rear "shorter" than front, by about an inch).

Instead, post WHAT you measured and HOW you measured it.

yep, my car has been riding rear lower by about an inch. It is no big deal unless it really bothers you. You should be fine running 18's...I had my 20's on at stock height.
