Anyone know the spring rate for the older model, like GM#482086, 9c1 rear spring? Did a search and found that the newer model is 160 lbs./in. Very close to the SS rear which is 154, though shorter.I have read that the older model is much stiffer and I'm wondering if it is as stiff as the wagon spring that could be 220.

I got delivery today of GM# 482086 rear springs from gmpartsdirect.com $49.33 each. Using the spring rate formula, measured 19/32 wire diameter, 5 active coils, mean coil diameter of 5.75. = 184 pounds per inch. This is the older rear 9c1 spring, newer 9c1 is the 160, stock SS is a little lower and 154
