Manufacturer refurbished Alarms

Any Thoughts on Manufacturer refurbished Alarms? I've seen some posted on EBAY ie Viper 5701 & not sure if this is the right route to take. Looking for the Good, Bad, Ugly.

Good=Cheaper price, I know.

You caught me on a good day because I've never been to this section. I bought a refurb python off amazon. It has a year warranty so I would suggest you look into the same thing if you get a refurb. Other than that I have had my alarm for about two months with no prob! Works just as good as brand new. One thing you want to look out for on refurbs are the same problems occuring because that's common. But the professional alarm installer that installed mines told me that I have a good brand so its not likely for a problem to occur. This is significant because python and viper are basically the same thing. They are both made by the same manufacturer. Hope this helps!
