Viper 5704. No Output

Finally got around to finishing up my viper 5704 install. Tried it out late last night and no go. For some reason none of the 200ma negative outputs seem to work. The trunk release, aux 1 (train horns) and door locks are not actuating. I tested the trunk release and its not sending a ground when activated. I used a test light connected to 12+ and the red/white wire. Activated the trunk release on the remote. It sends the command and beeps saying success, yet nothing happens. No relay activation or test light illumination.

I haven't checked the outputs for the door lock relays but they as well as the trunk and horn relays, function when I send a ground to them bypassing the alarm. When using the alarm, nothing happens. Everything is pretty well tucked and hidden, thus getting to the wires are going to be a pain.

Sirens, and status light works. Alarm acts as everything is fine. There is just no output on the 200ma negative wires for the trunk release, and door locks.

Am I missing a wire that needs to be connected in order for these outputs to work? Or is this unit busted/in need of programming?

Thanks in advance

Brad

the red wire for the trunk pop must use a relay to pop the trunk

Which wire did you use for the door locks should be the negative wire on the viper this is tapped into the driver kick panel and does not require a relay

Thanks for the reply. That is exactly how I have it wired up.

I decided to disconnect the battery over night. Re connected it and started checking again. The 4 AUX outputs are now working. 1, 2, 3, and 4 both send a -12v signal when commanded by the remote. But the trunk release still does not do anything.

I hooked a DMM up to it to read DC voltage on the trunk release wire (RED/WHITE). In standby mode, there is 11.58v being read off the wire and to a good +12v source. (Car on the charger voltage is at 13.9) When I command trunk release the voltage drops to 11.22. I guessing there is a bad channel on this unit.... I have connected the trunk release to the AUX 1 output and all works fine.

The door locks have started working now as well. I have the alarm turning on 2 relays (Lock & Unlock). They send +12v to the the light blue and light tan wires coming off the drivers side switch harness. Behind the door panel, soldered and heat shrinked.

Thanks for the reply. Kind of aggravating that this unit is partially DOA and there is no warranty for the DIY'er.
