On the remote start satellite of this alarm, there is and orange ACC output. The booklet says to connect this wire to the accessory wire that controls the climate control system. Where is the best place to connect this wire? Am I supposed to splice it in or make it the dedicated power supply for the Accesories in the car?

Sorry for being a dumbass here, guys, but I've done searches and they've gotten me this far. Now I'm stuck. Thanks for the help.

first, there is more than one orange wire on the 791.

second, you haven't given me any idea of what car. I will assume an impala/caprice.

If you are talking about the 10 or 12 gauge orange wire, then it just splices into the accessory wire located in your factory ignition harness. On GMs this is usually orange as well. Make sure to check it with a DMM or a test light. This light should fire positive(with a test probe or 12V with a DMM) when the key is in the accessory position as well as after the car is started.

P.S. I'm not responsible for any damage caused to your car. This is simply a reference for you.

The orange wire is the one that is on the car, not on the alarm.

I might be smoking that crizack AGAIN. Hahahaha. I coulda sworn on a 791XV you had to hook up the wire to an orange wire that was on the car.

Found out my confusion:

Ignition Pink Ignition Switch Harness
Ignition 2 Orange Ignition Switch Harness, (check engine light)

I didn't read his initial post clearly.

It says that should go to Accessory + up a couple pages. Just a wild guess, but I think that would be in fact the orange wire, 2nd ignition.

Constant 12V+ Red Ignition Switch Harness
Starter Yellow Ignition Switch Harness
Ignition Pink Ignition Switch Harness
Ignition 2 Orange Ignition Switch Harness, (check engine light)
Tach Red/Black Or Pink/Black (-) at Multi Coil Pack
Neutral Safety Wire Orange/Black Gear Select Switch
Brake Switch White Brake Switch
Trunk Release Black/White Switch
Trunk Pin Dark Green (-) Driver's Kick Panel (Rear Body Harness) (96)
Parking Lights Brown Light Switch
Head Lamp Yellow Light Switch
Door Trigger White (-) Driver's Pin Switch
Door Lock Light Blue Behind Driver's Kick Panel
Door Unlock White Positive Trigger
Horn Wire Black (-) Steering Column

That's what I have for the wiring for our car. Nothing says directly "Accessory" so it's my assumption it goes to the orange 2nd ignition. Or would it be the 1st ignition?

How big is the wire? I've only done one 791XV install (my car) and I can remember. If it's on the satellite box though, it should be a big one, and then you should be able to hook it up directly. Also, the manual says when it is just a small signal for a trigger for a relay.

thanks guys. I spliced into the orange wire coming from the ignition harness. Everything's working. The orange wire from the satellite is the same size as the power to the starter. That's why I was unsure if I was supposed to splice or dedicate the orange ACC wire.
