Read through a lot of the older posts in this sub forum as I'm on a mission to put together a set of snow tires and rims before the New England winter hits.
My 95 SS has the factory mags with 255/50-17s, but I never looked at the spare in my trunk but will when I get home from work. Is the steel wheel spare also a 17" or is it the common 15x7?
I was thinking of putting together a set of steelies with the 9C1 center caps, and wondered if you needed the specific 9C1 rims shown here;

I copied this text from a previous poster (thanks for this)
Following tires spec for 91-96 B-cars:
235/75R15 (28.87") OEM Cadillac Fleetwoods with V4P Tow, V4U Limo, B9Q Hearse, or B05 Armour
225/75R15 (28.28") OEM for 91-96 B-wagons
235/70R15 (27.95") OEM for 91-96 B- & D-cars with V92, or 9C1s with LT1
215/75R15 (27.69") OEM for 91-93 9C6 B-sedans (taxis) with LB4 4.3L V6
225/70R15 (27.40") OEM for 94-96 B-sedans with L99 4.3L V8, 9C1s with L99 [and some with LT1], & 1A2s
205/75R15 (27.10") OEM for 91 sedans (GM themselves 'retconned' this spec, however)
255/50R17 (27.03") OEM for 94-96 B-sedans with WX3 or WX8 <== This is obviously Impala SS
215/70R15, 26.85" tall. Think GM stopped specifying these for Caprices in 1990?
Anyway, 215/75R15 looks like a wiser choice than either 205/75R15, or 215/70R15.
Or, try to find those skinny emergency donut spare tires in junkyards? <=== Mine is a full size spare, not a donut
Size: 15 x 7. Bolt Pattern: 5 x 127mm
So if I wanted to buy those center caps, would they fit on the Impala SS factory spare rim? You can see on the auction pics above that there are 3 mounting screws for the 9C1 center caps, didn't know if all 15x7s had the holes for these or if you need 9C1 style rims?
EDIT: Looks like I may have answered my own question here, more Google searching shows 15x7 ID RGR is what I'm looking for. Did a search on the parts listing on car-part.com
