Yesterday check engine light came on after successful odometer fix - resolder contact points. Code reader shows 1661. Booklet says "ODMC Output 1 Circuit Faulty." OBDII.com says P1661 is "MIL Control Circuit". I cleared the code. Idiot light hasn't come back on yet after only a few miles of driving. What does the code mean? What's the fix? Is this something to worry about?
Thanks guys. Josh, I read the link you posted earlier during my search for the answer. Seems that people are saying that the 1661 code means a wire is loose or disconnected or that a bulb is out. But my Check Engine light lights up fine so I know it's not that bulb. Odometer lights up fine too so it's not that one either. Will keep drivin it til somethin else happens.
John
